Dr. Neelam Andrade is Professor and Head of Dept of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nair Hospital Dental College Mumbai, India. She has 30 years of teaching experience and 35 publications in International and National Journals.
She has been a pioneer in the field of distraction osteogenesis in India and has carried out extensive work in orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, oral submucous fibrosis and oral pathology in which she has many landmark articles.
In 2012-13, she was the President of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India [AOMSI] and is currently the Hon General Secretary of the Maharashtra State Chapter of AOMSI, India.
She has been the recipient of the International Denasia award for the 'The Best Oral Surgeon' in 2016 and the 'Humanity Services Award' in 2014. She was an examiner for the 1st IBSCOMS exam held in Japan 2015 and is currently on the panel for the same to be held in India in 2016. She was also the recipient of the T.C. White Scholarship, Glasgow UK.
The International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, in their magazine "Face to Face", interviewed her as they believe that she has rightly earned the title of being one of the "Strong Women of Maxillofacial Surgery".
Dr Hasan Sadikin Hospital
Dr. Asri Arumsari is Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Department of Dr. Hasan Sadikin, Bandung-Indonesia. She held the post of Indonesia Program Director of Cleft lip and Palate Fellowship Program of International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons until 2014. She has a lot of experience with the cleft lip and palate surgeries. Her interest in congenital anomalies, made the Dr. Hasan Sadikin Hospital leading in distraction osteogenesis treatment in Indonesia.
Ashraf Ayoub is the professor of oral & maxillofacial Surgery, Glasgow University, UK since 2003. He is the director of the university's international postgardaute programme (MSc, in OMFS) and the editor of the Oral Surgery section of the IJOMS. He leads a research group to study facial deformities using the recent advances in 3D/4D imaging. Prof. Ayoub is the lead surgeon of a team which includes orthodontics, technologists, psychologist and computer scientists to investigate the dignois & management of dento-facial malformations, He published more than 60 articles on this field of interest. Ashraf Ayoub organises the Glasgow biennial course on the recent advances of the diagnosis and management of dento-facial deformities. He is the principal investigator among basic science researchers in investigating bone bioengineering for maxillofacial reconstruction. The team conducted preclinical studies and a clinical trial and published 30 articles on application of BMP & tissue engineering for reconstruction of jaw bones.
Prof. Selcuk Basa received the D.D.S. degree from the Ankara University, Ankara, in 1982; the Ph.D. degree and OMFS speciality training at the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Hacettepe University, Ankara, in 1986. Since 1994 he is with the Marmara University OMFS Department, Istanbul, as a Professor. He served as the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry from 2004 till 2007 and the president of Oral and Maxillofacial Society (ACBID), Turkey, between 2011-2013.

Dr. Martin Batstone was a graduate of the Queensland Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program in 2004. He then spent three years in Liverpool at the Mersey Regional Head and Neck CancerCentre as the Head and Neck Fellow. His current position is a Senior Staff specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital and Director of the Maxillofacial unit. He is the President of the Australian and New Zealand Head and neck cancer society. His clinical interests are surgical management of oral and oropharyngeal cancer, skin cancer and microvascular reconstruction.

Prof. Eddy Becking studied dentistry (1986) and medicine (1996) in Groningen, the Netherlands, was trained in Oral and maillofacial sugery (1992) in the VU medical center in Amsterdam. His PhD thesis (1998) was on dilemmas in orthognathic surgery. He was appointed Fellow of the European Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. (Edinburgh,2000) Since 2001 he is working as a consultant Oral and Maxillofacial in Haarlem. He is full professor in growth and developmental disorders of the oral and maxillofacial region the Academic Medical Center / Emma Children's Hospital in Amsterdam and ACTA since 2011. In 2014 he became president of the worldwide active Strassbourg Osteosynthesis Research Group (S.O.R.G.). He is visiting professor at the International University Cataluna in Barcelona.
His clinical and scientific interests are facial asymmetry, orthognathic surgery and orbito-craniofacial surgery and reconstruction, including computer assisted planning and navigational surgery. He authored over 50 scientific peer-reviewed publications (h-factor=19) and is co-author of several bookchapters. He is an international invitational lecturer on orthognathic surgery and craniofacial reconstruction.
R. Bryan Bell
Providence Cancer Center
Dr. Bell specializes in the surgical management of head and neck cancer and craniomaxillofacial deformity. He is currently Medical Director of the Providence Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Program and Clinic at the Providence Cancer Center, and an investigator in the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute; Affiliate Professor at Oregon Health and Science University, and is a consultant at the Head and Neck Institute in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Bell's research interests are focused on developing technologically advanced methods of improving treatment outcomes for patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer. His current works focuses on a collaboration with translational immunologists at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute at Providence Cancer Center to characterize the tumor microenvironment in head and neck cancer, and to develop and bring to clinical trial innovative treatment strategies to stimulate human immune response to fight cancer.
He has been the principal investigator or co-investigator for numerous grants and clinical trials. These efforts have resulted in the publication of more than 80 manuscripts, 60 abstracts, 22 book chapters, and 2 textbooks. In addition, Dr. Bell has given more than 200 invited international, national and regional lectures.
Among his many honors, he is a recipient of the William F. Harrigan Award for major contributions to surgery.

Prof. Dr. Dr. S.J. Bergé graduated 1993 from the University of Louvain, Belgium in where he studied Dentistry and Medicine. He was trained in the Academic Teaching Hospital in Saarbrücken, Germany. From 1998 until 2005 he worked at the OMFS department at the University in Bonn, Germany as a stafmember. Presently he is Full University Professor and Head of the department of OMFS of the Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Prof. James Brown is currently a Consultant and Clinical Director of the Regional Maxillofacial Unit, Aintree University Hospital Liverpool and also the Professor of Head and Neck Surgery Liverpool University.
Described an original classification and reconstruction of the maxilla and midface through the use of vascularised iliac crest with internal oblique.
His clinical research has contributed towards oral squamous cell cancer outcomes, the role of postoperative radiotherapy, and free tissue transfer reconstructive techniques. MD thesis was on the patterns and routes of tumour invasion of the mandible.

Prof. Nardy Casap (Caspi) D.M.D., M.D. is an associate professor and chairman of the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hebrew University-Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine, Jerusalem, Israel.
Prof. Casap is a past chairman of the Israeli Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Israel chancellor for the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is an active member of the Israel Dental Association Scientific Committee.

He has 30 years of full-time experience in clinical care, research, and teaching in Dental and Medical Schools with a focus on the field of Temporomandibular disorders (TMD), cranio-maxillo-facial traumatology and malformations. In this area, he also researched and lectured at the Medical School of the University of Siena from 1986 to 1998. Prof. Luigi C. Clauser, specialist in Maxillofacial Surgery and Odontostomatology, is a Clinical Professor at the University of Ferrara, Italy. His expertise covers facial reconstructions, implantology, orthognathic surgery, traumatology, orbital surgery, oral surgery, treatment of temporomandibular joint dysfunctions, and aesthetic surgery. He is an expert in the treatment of congenital craniofacial malformations and in the multidisciplinary treatment of exophthalmos in Graves' disease. Reconstruction of facial volume by using fat grafting is also one of his main interests. In the 90’s Prof. Clauser was one of the last of Paul L. Tessier's pupils in Paris. He completed cleft and craniofacial fellowships and is now a consultant OMF surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth and Birmingham Childrens' Hospitals. His main area of practice is in craniofacial surgery. He is a part of the team at BCH developed the concept of skull expansion in the 1990's and introduced distraction as a means of achieving this in 2006.
Mr. Dover is President of the European Society of Craniofacial Surgery (2014-16) and of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (2017).

Dr. Stephanie Drew is a senior partner at the New York Center for Orthognathic and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is a clinical assistant professor at Hofstra Medical School and Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dental Medicine and was in Residence at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program. Her practice focuses on treating patients with dentofacial deformities and cleft related deformities. Dr. Drew is the current Vice President of the American College of Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Drew has served as an examiner for the American Board of Maxillofacial Surgery. She is currently on the editorial board of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Dyalram is currently an Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She attended New York University College of Arts and Science for her undergraduate degree. She then obtained her Dental Degree from New York University College of Dentistry and her Medical Degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. At the completion of Oral Maxillofacial Surgical Residency training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center/ Kings County Hospital Center in NYC, she left her home town, to pursue fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of Maryland Medical Center with Dr. Robert Ord and Dr. Joshua Lubek. Here she received training and mentorship in surgical excellence that was second to none. Following these two years of fellowship training she accepted an academic positing at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Edwards received his dental degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He then came to the University of Michigan where he completed his medical degree and residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He then completed fellowship training in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. A second fellowship in head and neck oncologic surgery and microvascular surgery brought him back to the University of Michigan where he has since remained as faculty.
Professionally, Dr. Edwards is the Chief of Pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and the residency program director. His research has focused on cleft and craniofacial care and sleep disorders, their genesis and treatment. Dr. Edwards serves on many regional, national and international committees, has served as a section editor for the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and reviews for many journals.

He holds dual appointments in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Surgical Oncology at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville. Joseph I. Helman, DMD, is the C. J. Lyons Endowed Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the University of Michigan. Dr. Helman received his DMD from the Universidad Nacional De Rosario in Rosario, Argentina in 1976. After a year internship at the French Hospital in Buenos Aires he did his residency at Rambam Medical Center in Israel and he was faculty at Technion Medical School. He was Attending Surgeon and eventually President of the Israeli Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He was a recipient of the Fogarty International Fellowship at NIDCR for the National Institutes of Health, an Honorary Fellowship at the Chalmers Lyons Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and an S. Elmer Bear Visiting Professorship, Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Helman has been named a Distinguished Practitioner and Member by the National Academies of Practice in Dentistry; has been awarded a Fellowship to the International Congress on Oral Cancer. Nicholas Kalavrezos is a Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgeon and the Lead Clinician in the Head and Neck Centre at University College London Hospital with a background in Oral and Maxillo-Facial surgery. Nicholas is also the Lead Head and Neck Sarcoma Surgeon for the London Sarcoma Service. His clinical practice includes ablative and reconstructive surgery for the head and neck with a special interest in bone sarcomas and functional outcomes following reconstructive surgery. Dr. McCormick was appointed to serve on the Dental Board for the State of California and served as its President for two terms. Prof. Jean-Paul Meningaud is Head of the Department of Plastic and maxillofacial Surgery at the Henri Mondor University Hospital, Paris. Having gained his MD at the University Denis Diderot, Paris in 1997, he was awarded PhD in 2002 by the University René Descartes, Paris. A Fellow of the European Board of Oro-Maxillofacial Surgery, he has graduated in microsurgery and holds the HDR (postdoctoral degree authorizing the holder to direct the research of others). In Paris in 2007, Professor Meningaud was part of the team that undertook a complex composite tissue allotransplantation of the face in a patient undergoing resection of a massive plexiform neurofibroma; they were able to report excellent functional and psychological outcomes after medium term follow-up in the Lancet. From that first case, Professor Meningaud and his team now have an extensive experience of the feasibility, reproducibility, risks and benefits of face transplantation, including for ballistic trauma. He received the James Barret Brown award in 2011. In 2014, He has been elected to be President of the EACMFS in 2018-2020.
Prof. Matthias AW (Thijs) Merkx is professor of OMF surgery since 2008 and dedicated to Head & Neck Oncology and Oral Medicine at the Radboud University, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He is the president of the Dutch Head & Neck Society from 2013-2017. He focuses his research primarily on quality of life and care. In 2009 Dr. Rana completed his final year of my oral and maxillofacial qualification program as a dual qualified MD and DMD at Hannover Medical School. After obtaining his specialist qualification he was responsible for at least one operating room in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Hannover. He has continued to work in this department to this day, becoming a senior consultant and associate professor. In 2014 he was given the full-time position of vice director of the department of facial reconstructive surgery.
His surgical spectrum covers craniofacial reconstruction, skullbase, tumor, trauma, orthognathic and dentoalveolar surgery. Furthermore, he is in charge of several clinics at our department including for craniosynostoses, orthognathic surgery, orbital and congenital deformities. He has made great efforts to establish combined interdisciplinary treatment protocols. Within orthognathic surgery his main focus is on virtual orthognatic planning and surgery. Since the beginning of the year he has been performing more cases with surgery first and splintless surgery. In addition to clinical workload, he is also a lecturer and the research coordinator in our department.
His main research focus is on computer-assisted planning and surgery to push forward medical technology to enhance patient care. In this area, he has worked closely with several industry partners on different projects to develop novel and state-of-the-art patient specific implants, which enable near true to original reconstruction of affected facial structures. In recognition of his research on “Development of laser sintered patient specific orbital implant solutions” he received the Hans-Joachim-Denecke-Prize of “Gesellschaft für Schädelbasischirurgie”(GSB). As the future development of computer-assisted technologies is very important to him, he set up an in house solution workflow with a forced feedback haptic device together with his research team and engineers within several projects funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the AO Foundation and various others. He has developed and published several algorithms for computer-assisted preoperative planning and intraoperative navigation.
Also, he is also a member of the European Faculty Education Program (AOCMF). For many years he was Trainee Representative of the German Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (DGMKG) and the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery (EACMFS). Prof. Tara Renton (Specialist in Oral Surgery) is a dentist with a particular interest in trigeminal nerve injuries and pain. After completing her Oral and Maxillofacial surgical training in Melbourne in 1991, Tara undertook a PhD in Trigeminal Nerve injury at KCL 1999-2003. She was later appointed Senior Lecturer at QMUL and then was awarded her chair in 2006 at Kings College London. Over the past 10 years Tara has lead the teaching of dental students modernising the Oral Surgical teaching with minimal access approach and modern LA techniques. She has established an academic oral surgery training programme which now has taught 5 Academic Oral Surgery SpRs of which 3 have gained PhDs. In collaboration with IoPPN KCL and Imperial College Tara has established an international leading programme of trigeminal nerve injury and orofacial pain research. Prof. Riitta Seppänen-Kaijansinkko has graduated from the Helsinki University as DDS, MD, PhD. Her PhD was on bioresorbable materials in maxillofacial surgery.

Prof Warnke is a dual qualified German-Australian Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from University of Kiel, Germany, with a main focus in plastic and reconstructive surgery. After leading the largest international multicenter Tissue Engineering network "MyJoint" for bone and joint regeneration (funded by the European Union) he was recruited to the Chair of Surgery at Bond University, Queensland, to implement advanced regenerative therapies for OMF Surgery in Australia in 2009. Pioneering groundbreaking papers in first human applications for regenerative stem cell therapies and 3D scaffold printing have been produced by his group in recent years. Since 2015 Prof Warnke chairs the most northern German Department for OMF Surgery in Flensburg, just on the German-Danish border and the Baltic Sea.

Professor Wolff (b. 1959) researches in the area of plastic reconstructive facial surgery. The aim of his research work is to improve the microsurgical transfer of tissue through a better understanding of the construction, physiology and healing of tissue transplants. His main focus is on the development of an extracorporal oxygenation and perfusion system and the clinical establishment of perforator flaps to replace soft tissue.
After studying medicine and dentistry at FU Berlin, Professor Wolff completed his PhD in both subjects in 1987 and acquired his postdoctoral teaching qualification (habilitation) in 1994. Subsequently he was appointed adjunct professor at FU Berlin in 1999. This was followed by a position at Ruhr University Bochum where he held the Chair of Oral Surgery and Plastic Facial Surgery from 2000 to 2007 and the post of medical director from 2004 to 2007. In 2007 he accepted an appointment at TUM where he has since been a professor at Klinikum rechts der Isar and a member of a number of professional associations. Professor Wolff was elected President of the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery 2016-2018.
Professor Wolff has published more than 200 Medline-listed papers and is author of a textbook for reconstructive surgery using free flaps.

Dr. Larry Wolford is a Clinical Professor in the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, and in full time private practice at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. He has been involved in resident training and education at these institutions for 33 years. He has co-authored two text books, written 35 book chapters for other books, has over 190 other publications, and over 150 published scientific abstracts. He has received the William J. His research interests include oral and maxillofacial oncology, diseases of salivary glands, and autologous transplantation of submandibular gland for severe dry eye. Zavan Barbara, Associate Professor of Biomedical Tecnology, is head of the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative laboratory at Biomedical Sciences Department of Padova University (Italy). Prof. Zavan received her Ph.D. in Tissue Enginering and Regenerative Medicine from Padova University, where she completed also postdoctoral training in stem cell biology. Prof. Zavan is a member of several scientific society such as: TERMIS and American Nano Society American Nano Society. Her research seeks to understand how changes in stem cell activity impact tissue homeostasis and repair throughout life and to identify systemic molecules or surfaced modification are responsible for regulation of regenerative potential.
She has a a multidisciplinary research group focused on both high quality fundamental science and translation for human health. Research in regenerative medicine within her group includes the directed differentiation of stem cells, the design of novel bioactive scaffolds and new approaches towards tissue regeneration. Current projects are exploring self-renewal and lineage selection by human mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue and dental pulp and the role of stem cells oral tumour formation. She has active collaborations with bioengineers, chemists and clinicians in order to study stem cell-niche interactions in vitro. Her scientific activity is reppresented by the pubblication on 85 articles; (Hindex: 26) and 10 books chapter.
